My two days of wisdom-tooth-pulling recovery were well-spent with a project of documenting the both the history of the SF Orff Course and NCAOSA, the local Orff Chapter. The latter involved reading through some old NCAOSA newsletters converted to PDF’s and while doing so, found some articles I had written that I forgot about.
These days, when I re-read things I wrote 10, 20, 30, even 40 years ago, I’m mostly struck with the same impression. I like them. They hold up. And it makes me think that there is no evolution in my thought and expression of thought. I really have nothing new to say—just countless different ways to say it. My life’s work and vision was fully formed by the time I was in my 20’s and has been my trust companion, still at my side. Here’s an article from 2008. I could have written it yesterday.
