A journalist was commissioned by his boss to write a series of articles about sex crimes, as this was a topic that sells magazines and newspapers. The journalist agreed and later handed in his work investigating various cults. When his astonished boss asked, “What is this?!!”, the journalist replied, “Exactly what you asked for. You said you wanted sects crimes!”
That was the dream that woke me up at 4am in the jet-lagged morning. And just what, o unconscious mind, was that all about? The only connection I can make is that the Republican Party these days qualifies as a cult, a bizarre sect that demands unquestioning obedience to its leader, discards facts, calls truth whatever they say it is, no questions asked. And that is a crime against democracy, against decency, against humanity. That’s all I got. But perhaps worth considering.
PS Note in the case of their shameless leader, the sects crimes include sex crimes. A double whammy! (8/20)
