It is now two weeks since returning from Ghana and over a week since the Family Reunion. I’m ready to get back to writing in real time, especially as there’s a high tide of thoughts brought on by the things I’m actually doing now. So suffice it to say that hiking most every day from 5 to 9 miles with my hearty grandchildren and children amidst streams and roaring waterfalls and breathtaking views and marmots and chipmunks and distant (and sometimes close) thunderstorms was a great privilege and pleasure. Alongside miniature golf and cornhole and endless card games and piano playing, conversations with kids and adults alike, convivial and delicious meals, teamwork cleaning up in the kitchen, a hilarious final night Talent Show and yet more— all the planning and plotting and arranging and shopping and money was worth it all. The next reunion planned for 2028— may we all be here to enjoy each other’s company in our new bodyminds!
